Mid Month Motivation: Water Stamping

***A public apology to Katy--I (Mynnette) thought I had scheduled this post before I left for the weekend last Friday and just realized today that I had not.  Katy, please forgive me!!!***

Hello Everybody!

To our friends in the U.S.--Happy Tax Day! :)  Hopefully you got a refund so you can buy some more crafty goodies!  If not-enter our challenge-you could be the winner of a 6X6 paper pad, a Distress Ink, and a new stamp.  And we invite our International friends to play too!

This month's technique is Water Stamping.  You can find the instructions and the DT's creations here.  The cool thing about this card is that I CASED one of the entries.  I chose Sarah Stone's card to CASE-Yay Sarah be sure to get your badge!

I really liked the sketch that Sarah used and her soft pretty colors.  I used the Water Stamping Technique in the middle panel like Sarah did.  From this picture you can see 2 flowers really well, but there was supposed to be another flower on top but it didn't come out.  I used Tim Holtz's Distress Stain for the middle panel but in order to get a good impression I think the stain still needs to be a little wet.  Thank you Sarah for the great inspiration! :)

Mid Month Motivation: CASE from Karen

Hello everyone, it’s Karen P, here to remind you that there is still another 14 days until our current challenge ends.  I chose this months challenge and I hope some more of you will come along and play with us before the challenge ends you’ve still got another 14 days – so plenty of time to make something and share it with us.

Now I’m very easily pleased because I am so happy that our lovely leaders have allowed me to write and post on here today!  You probably couldn’t tell but I’ve never posted on our wonderful challenge before lol!

Anyways as part of my crew duties I get to CASE a project this month.  I love the entries we’ve had already but there was a particular project that popped straight into my head.  I needed to CASE the card that was made by one of our lovely newbie’s Adrienne.

Mid Month Motivation: 3D Pedestal Pop-Up Card

Hello! This is Ellen here stopping by to give you a little Mid Month Motivation.  Have you linked up your 3D Pedestal Pop-Up Card yet? If not, there is still plenty of time to get in on the fun! Mid Month Motivation: 3D Punch Elements

Before I get to this month's fabulous CASE winner and my card, I'd like to take some time to gently remind you all that if you enter a challenge here at Technique Tuesday, your creation needs to follow the given tutorial.  If you have any other questions about our rules, you can find them under the Challenge Rules tab up at the top.  I'm not sure how much more specific a challenge can be than a tutorial and my DT and I are a little hurt that a lot of our entries so far this month have NOT followed the tutorial.  If this applies to you, please know that you are not eligible for any honors or prizes.  As of next month, entries that do not follow our challenge rules will be deleted.

Mid-Month Motivation: Faux Leather

So life has finally simmered down a bit and I'm so excited to let you know that I've got a CASE for this month's Mid-Month Motivation!!!  I have been blown away by the gorgeous creations that have been linked so far so it was hard to choose someone to CASE.  But it's been decided.  This month I'm CASEing entry #3 shellshearer!!!

Mid Month Motivation: Take 2--No CASE

Hi, all!  SO sorry to do this, but I have been out of town for a family wedding and I haven't had time to CASE anyone this month. :(  BUT, I do have a Mid Month Motivation for you or the Baby Wipe Reinker Challenge! :)  I'm calling it "Take 2".

So, I'm not sure how you all felt about your baby wipe reinker pad, but I wanted to get a little more use out of it.  I don't throw things away right off, I wait to see if I can reuse it in the next few days, and so that is what I did with my ink pad that I created.  Here's what I did for "Take 2"!

Baby Wipe Reinker "Take 2"

Materials Needed

Previously created baby wipe reinker pad

Glimmer mist (mine's homemade)

Solid image rubber stamps

"How To"

1. Take your previously inked pad and spritz it generously with glimmer mist to get it wet again.

2. Press your stamp into the pad and stamp your images.

3. I added centers to my flowers--add whatever else your image needs.

4. Cut out if needed and add it to your project!  I still had my leftover scraps from my original card out and so I just copied it!  EASY, easy card to make!

You'll see that this card is a lot lighter than the original.  Make sure that when you choose a glimmer mist that it is a "clear" one--meaning it won't change the colors, just enhance it with a shimmer.

Hi, there!  It's time for Mid-Month Motivation for the Cascading Card Challenge!  I'm combining two elements from two entries to create my CASE this month!!!

Mid-Month Motivation: Faux Pressed Flowers

So, I've decided that half-way through each month, I will create a new card based on the month's technique.  I will be CASEing one of the entries thus far.  This month I am CASEing #1 Victoria!!!  She used teeny tiny flowers to use on her embossed panel and I LOVE the way it looks!  I hope you take some time to go and check out her card!
