Side Step Card-CASE

Hello Everybody!

One of the fun things about being hostess for each month's challenge is that you get to CASE on of the entries.  It is always difficult because every card is so wonderful and unique!

So the card I chose to CASE is Heather G's from PaperCrafting from the Heart:

I like that she used a variation in the steps-instead of 3 she had 2.  I also liked that Heather used 2 sentiments for the steps on the right.  The doily is very nicely used also, so I incorporated that into my card.  And Heather's card used Doodle Pantry Digi Stamps-and I was so inspired that I used my Doodle Pantry stamps as well (they were Clearly Dollar Stamps at one time when I got mine).  The digis are great to size for the steps on the right.

Thank you Heather G for your inspiring creation!  Don't forget to grab your badge! :)

And Friends-there is still time to play our Side Step Card challenge.  We can't wait to see what you create! :)

SHAVING CREAM CASE

Hi Technique Time Tuesday friends!  I’m so happy you stopped by today.

My name is Ellen and I am your hostess for the month of February.

This month we have been playing around with a really fun technique called
Shaving Cream. I have to admit, I love making a mess when I craft and I feel right at home when I have ink or paint all over my hands. This super fun technique lets all of my inner messiness out.

As the monthly hostess, I get to CASE a card from the linked creations.
I have to say this has been a hard decision! I finally decided on this beautiful CAS card made by Nance Salkeld  at Soul Stampin’ Designs

I fell in love with the white on white embossing topped by that gorgeous rainbow colored heart.

I kept the white on white, the embossing, the colorful element and the purple for the sentiment, but I used a butterfly instead of a heart. I really had fun CASE(ing) Nance’s beautiful card. Thank you for sharing that lovely inspiration with us Nance!

CONGRATULATIONS Nance! Don't forget to pick up your badge for being CASEd on Technique Time Tuesday!

Remember you still have a week left to join in the challenge. Here is a link to the tutorial (click here) and thanks for stopping by!

Happy crafting!

Faux Cloisonne CASE

Hey!  Welcome to TTT...
My name is Louise, your hostess for the month of October.
This month we have been playing around with a real easy technique called
Faux Cloisonne
I love the elegant embellishments you can achieve using this technique
As the monthly hostess, I get to CASE a card from the linked creations
I have to say this task is not easy
Especially with such beautiful cards to choose from
In the end, I went with this wonderful card made by Jacqueline at Deezines Art

I loved the rich red and gold which are so perfect for this technique. Well done Jacqueline.

As you can see I used the elements of the central shape, the paper piercing and the flower on my CASEd  card. I'm really happy that you took the time to call in to have a look.
 CONGRATULATIONS to Jacqueline

Faux Silk CASE

Hello Technique Time Tuesday friends.
It's my turn this month to play hostess so I have the pleasure of choosing one of your beautiful Faux Silk cards to CASE, no easy task I must say!

I love the oriental style so I was drawn to this gorgeous card by Kimbo of Cards and Cats.

I love the embossing on coloured tissue and the paper piecing is beautifully done.

Here is my card

I have used a scenic stamp for my main panel stamped in Olive Green Archival and added a coin and some Mizuhiki cord over a water stamped background.

Thank you for calling in to look at my CASE card.
 CONGRATULATIONS to Kimbo.

CASEing Smackin' Acetate

Welcome TTT friends...

My name is Karen, your hostess for the month of August
This month we have been playing around with the technique called
Smackin' Acetate
I love the varied backgrounds you can achieve using this technique
Try different types of papers, my favorite to use - glossy paper

As the monthly hostess, I get to CASE a card from the linked creations
I have to say this task is not easy
Especially with so many delightful cards to choose from

In the end, I went with this wonderful card made by Darnell at djkardkreations...

Darnell's card had a breezy, summery feel to it
I was inspired by the colors and image she chose
She also added texture at the bottom of the card using an embossing folder
LOVE it!

And now here is my card...

I used glossy paper for my project
I choose Dutch Blue and Citrus Leaf markers from Close to My Heart
I used this beach image from 100 Proof Press and sentiment from CTMH
Swirl embossing folder was used on a piece of glossy paper with Dutch Blue
Banners and white ribbon/bow finish my card

Thanks for stopping by today  and taking a look at my CASEd card
CONGRATULATIONS Darnell

CASEing Faux Chalkboard Technique

Good morning!
It's my turn to CASE one of your lovely creations!  I chose Heather's fantastic card below!

I loved her stars & flags which are very trendy right now!  She has a great layout here as well.  I kept the layout the same but changed up the colors to Melon Mambo, Pistachio Pudding, Whisper White, & Basic Black.  I added some flourishes, Candy Dots, & Rhinestones as well.

There's still several days to play this month!  Won't you join us & WOW us with your wonderful creation like Heather did?  Here's the challenge link!

Thanks for inspiring me Heather! :)

Have a fab day!
Julz :)

CASED Dahlia Fold Flowers

Good Day Everyone!
Tracey here with the CASED card for this month's technique challenge, Dahlia Fold Flowers. I am just loving all of the entries so far. All of you are doing some fantastic work with this. I had a very difficult time choosing just one creation to case. I finally settled on entry # 2 by Shauna. In casing Shauna's card, I decided I would follow her layout but in a different colour scheme.

This is the card Shauna made:

Here is what I made based on her design:
(A complete list of the items I used to make my card is posted on my blog.)

You still have 10 more days to create a project using May's technique and enter it into our challenge. If you are looking for the tutorial and where to link up your post, you will find it HERE. I can't wait to see your creation.
