Faux Silk CASE

Hello Technique Time Tuesday friends.
It's my turn this month to play hostess so I have the pleasure of choosing one of your beautiful Faux Silk cards to CASE, no easy task I must say!

I love the oriental style so I was drawn to this gorgeous card by Kimbo of Cards and Cats.

I love the embossing on coloured tissue and the paper piecing is beautifully done.

Here is my card

I have used a scenic stamp for my main panel stamped in Olive Green Archival and added a coin and some Mizuhiki cord over a water stamped background.

Thank you for calling in to look at my CASE card.
 CONGRATULATIONS to Kimbo.
Don't forget to pick up your badge for being CASEd on Technique Time Tuesday

Remember you still have a week left to join in the challenge, take a look at the tutorial on the original post HERE.

Happy Crafting

Tips & Variations for Faux Silk

We're just a week into our FAUX SILK challenge and I'm here today to share some tips and variations to this super fun and easy technique!

Here's a card I've made with
some of the tips and variations~
More details on my personal blog HERE.
And here are a few tips/variations:
1. Use colored tissue paper to mimic colored silk.
2. Don't color in images and use colored inks to make your lined images look like embroidery.
3. Use colored card stock to mount the white tissue paper on for a subtle color effect.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to link up your FAUX SILK creations in the original challenge post found HERE!  HUGS and happy stamping, friends!
